Joilton Lutterbach prepares for BRAVE CF 70 with MMA legend Gegard Mousasi

German-Brazilian Lutterbach leaves no stone unturned as he looks to solve the Andreas Gustafsson Berg puzzle in Ljubljana, Slovenia, on April 23.

Six-promotion and multi-division MMA champion Joilton “Peregrino” Lutterbach has been in many epic battles during his celebrated career thus far. With a record of 37-10, the Gladiator Fight Gym representative is a fearless gamer unafraid of moving between various weight divisions to compete in the sport he loves most. This month, at BRAVE CF 70, the BRAVE CF Super Lightweight number-one contender moves up a division to face Sweden’s Andreas Gustafsson Berg in a new Super Welterweight co-main event, in Ljubljana, Slovenia, on April 23.

Lutterbach and Gustafsson Berg took the fight on short notice after the original co-main event between Bantamweights Jose Torres and Nkosi Ndebele got canceled. Gustafsson is a natural Middleweight and one of Europe’s most lethal finishes with seven stoppages in eight 185-pound fights, which includes a devastating KO over Serbia’s Miro Jurkovic at BRAVE CF 39 that earned him the BRAVE CF “Fight of the Year” award and Lutterbach is well aware of his opponent’s power.

Lutterbach’s attention to detail in his preparation has played a big part in his impressive success rate of 37 wins and 27 knockouts. He leaves no stone unturned, even during short-notice fights. With that said, he recently enlisted the services of Dutch Middleweight legend Gegard Mousasi to help him solve the Andreas Gustafsson Berg puzzle.

Like Lutterbach, Mousasi has traveled the world competing in various combat sports with an MMA record of 49-8-2. The Dutchman is a decorated four-time Middleweight and Light Heavyweight MMA champion, and his wisdom and experience in the heavier divisions will serve Lutterbach in good stead as he looks to break down the BRAVE CF Super Welterweight division doors after shaking up the 165-pound division with two first-round knockouts over top contenders Marcel Grabinski and Mihail Cotruta.

Training out of the famed UFD gym in Dusseldorf, Germany, and representing Gladiator Fight Gym, Lutterbach has also been mixing it up with BRAVE CF 70 main event star, Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Erko Jun, who will make his BRAVE CF debut when he faces Slovenia’s Marko Drmonjic in the main event of BRAVE CF 70. BRAVE CF 70 will be co-promoted with the leading regional organization WFC in BRAVE Combat Federation’s second trip to Slovenia in three years. The biggest event in Slovenian MMA history will serve to take Central Europe’s mixed martial arts scene to the next level as WFC and BRAVE CF continue their long-standing partnership.
