Bryce Mitchell out of UFC 288

Bryce Mitchell out of UFC 288 featherweight bout against Movsar Evloev, Diego Lopes steps in as replacement

UFC fighter Bryce Mitchell has been forced to withdraw from his featherweight bout against Movsar Evloev at UFC 288, sources confirmed.

The reason for his withdrawal is unknown. Diego Lopes, who has a record of 20-5, will be stepping in on short notice to fight Evloev. This is not the first time Evloev has had to face a replacement fighter; he was originally scheduled to fight Jonathan Pearce before he was replaced by Mitchell.

Evloev has been on a winning streak in his UFC career, with six straight decision wins against opponents such as Dan Ige and Hakeem Dawodu. Meanwhile, Lopes most recently won a match against Angel Rodriguez via second-round TKO in November.
