Belal Muhammad and Gilbert Burns had the chance to assess one another on Thursday during the UFC 288 prefight press conference after booking a significant welterweight fight with only 16 days’ notice.
On Saturday at Prudential Centre, Muhammad (22-3 MMA, 13-3 UFC) and Burns (22-5 MMA, 15-5 UFC) will square off in what is probably a 170-pound championship eliminator. After the prelims on ESPN and ESPN+, the card is broadcast on pay-per-view.
Muhammad and Burns engaged in a face-off after taking questions from the media and stating their goals to win a title shot as the pressure mounts for a key match for both men.
