Conor McGregor Takes A Jab At Henry Cejudo

Conor McGregor couldn’t resist taking a jab at Henry Cejudo after his comeback fight against bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling at UFC 288. ‘Triple C’ made a valiant effort to win his second 135lb title but lost on a split decision. During his post-fight interview with Joe Rogan, Cejudo hinted that he might retire again.

Before the main event, McGregor, who was very active on social media throughout the event, took to Twitter and said, “16 wins 2 losses. At flyweight. The guy is a novice in MMA.” After Sterling was declared the winner, ‘Notorious’ returned to brag, seemingly after betting on the bantamweight king to retain his strap.

In another tweet, McGregor added, “Easiest money I’ve ever made. Not a scratch on Aljo! Congrats Funkmaster! A good little fighter is Henry, but give it a rest with these agendas all the time. The guy is sub-20 fights in his career. His little feints and all ahaha omg please teach me mastermind lol.”

McGregor continued to ridicule Cejudo and uploaded a video mimicking ‘coach fantastic’ Cejudo’s stance and poking fun at his fighting style. The former dual-weight UFC champion had taken offense to Cejudo’s repeated attempts to coach him by commenting on the various training videos he shares with his fans.

Although Ceju pointed out McGregor’s overstepping while trash-talking Khabib Nurmagomedov as the reason why he withdrew his offer to train McGregor, the Irishman is still taking a dig at him.

McGregor is set to make his own comeback in a fight against Michael Chandler later this year after being sidelined due to an injury he suffered at UFC 264 in July 2021.
