Then in his promotional debut with Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors 133, he submitted Ethyn Ewing in the first round via heel hook. Hernandez defeated Michael O’ Leary via technical knockout in round one at Cage Warriors 139. He defeated Brian Mitchell via unanimous decision at Cage Warriors 143. Hernandez defeated John De Jesus via a split decision on the main card of Cage Warriors 149.

In the co-main event of Cage Warriors 155, he defeated Moses Diaz via unanimous decision. The victory earned Hernandez the fourth decision win of his professional career in addition to win number five under the Cage Warriors banner in the process.
