Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, (BKFC), the worlds fastest growing combat sports promotion returns to action tonight, Friday the 23rd of June live from Hollywood, FL. The main event promises to deliver an action packed fight between two of the best Lightweights on the planet, defending champion and #1 ranked pound for pound fighter on the BKFC roster Luis ‘El Baboon’ Palomino, (8-0), is set to take on the highly skilled and #1 world ranked title challenger, the Welshman James ‘Lights Out’ Lilley, (7-0-1).
You’d do well to find a better matchup across all combat sports this weekend, it is one of the very best matchups BKFC can put together at the moment if not the best. Two of the best bare-knuckle fighters the Lightweight division has to offer worldwide, both undefeated and in the primes of their careers. I for one am very much looking forward to this, a local lad from Townhill, Swansea fighting on the world stage for a world title it doesn’t get much better than that. James has become a real fan favourite since his debut in 2018, the heavy-handed Welshman has become must-watch tv with some great knockouts to go alongside his undefeated record.
Peruvian-born Palomino is a two-division BKFC world champion, where he currently holds both the Lightweight and Welterweight strap making him the first “double champ” in BKFC history. The all-action Palomino has five title defences to his name, most recently against Tom Shoaff at BKFC 34 on December 3, 2022. Two men that are on fire at the moment, both have found a new home within the BKFC organisation and become real fan favourites and valuable assets moving forward. I’m obviously gonna be rooting for my fellow Swansea man, James “Lights Out” Lilley the warrior poet to get it done and bring a BKFC world title home to the best country in the world, Cymru. I predict a real war with both men showing incredible toughness and Lilley picking up a decision victory.
