CW 156: Weigh-in results

All fighters competing on Saturday night’s CW 156 card weighed-in at the Radisson Hotel in Cardiff on Friday morning.

The main event of the evening is good to go, with veteran middleweights Matt Bonner and Darren Stewart both hitting their marks comfortably.

The stakes are high for the pair; Bonner has never beaten a UFC veteran, and could claim arguably his biggest scalp to date with a victory. For Stewart’s part, he’ll aim to be the first person to finish the Warrington man as a professional, a feat 23 previous opponents have failed to accomplish.

Elsewhere on the card, Jack Eglin and Rory Evans had an intense stare-down ahead of their bantamweight clash, a bout many feel has all the ingredients of a potential ‘fight of the night’ contender.

Only Brazil’s Marcondes Bastos was unable to make the contracted weight, stepping onto the scales at 146.5lbs. Bastos was unable to lose further weight in the allotted time; he will be fined 50% of his purse and the bout will go ahead as planned.
