The great white North has given rise to many future talents that are now on the UFC roster like Tanner Boser and many other notable names. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to an albatross of the artic climate giving middleweights the polar plunge in Unified MMA. A professional mixed martial artist since August 2021 and representing Cardinal MMA, Ali Charkie holds a 3-2 record in five bouts comprised of two decisions and one knockout. Charkie has spent his whole career as a professional MMA fighter with Unified MMA. He has gone to the scorecards twice during his time in the professional ranks sweeping them clean across the board both times. The one and only finish during Charkie’s pro career has come inside the opening round. He is 3-2 under the Unified MMA banner with one finish under his belt in five appearances with the organization to show for it. The majority of Charkie’s wins during his career as a professional mixed martial artist have come via the scorecards with each of those victories ending in a unanimous verdict.
In his professional MMA debut and promotional debut with Unified MMA at Unified MMA 40, he faced Lorenzo Cellis and went on to defeat him via unanimous decision. Charkie defeated Sandeep Sran via unanimous decision at Unified MMA 43 to earn his second decision win as a professional. Then at Unified MMA 44, he defeated Chris Lee Byrne via technical knockout in the first round. The win earned Charkie the first knockout victory of his professional career in addition to his only finish. He also picked up victory number three under the Unified MMA banner in the process along with his third professional win overall. Charkie is one prospect of peril that any opponent should encounter even on the coldest nights in spite of the polar temperatures!
