BRAVE Combat Federation has announced two changes to its first-ever France card to be held in co-promotion with HEXAGONE MMA this Thursday 7 September, at the H Arena, in Nantes.
Most notably, French pioneer Anthony Dizy steps in at short-notice to face four-time combat sambo world champion Vladyslav Rudniev in the Lightweight co-main event of BRAVE CF 74 X HXMMA 11. Dizy will be replacing compatriot Axel Sola, who has been forced to pull out, and will be making his BRAVE debut. Meanwhile, fellow Frenchman Mathieu Rakotondrazanany is standing in for Eliezer Kubanza to fight Levy Carriel at 81kg.
The HEXAGONE MMA section of the card remains unchanged.
LIGHTWEIGHT BOUT: ANTHONY DIZY (FRANCE) VS ELIEZER RUDNIEV (UKRAINE)
Dizy, 35, holds a 15-4 pro record in mixed martial arts and is currently riding a two-fight win streak. In his last outing in June, he delivered his long-awaited, home soil defeat against Roger Garcia via unanimous decision at Hexagone MMA 9. ”La Masse” will have his hands full as he enters the cage against the most decorated combat sambo fighter in Ukrainian history – Rudniev, who will also be eager to debut with bang in his first BRAVE outing.
CATCHWEIGHT BOUT: MATHIEU RAKOTONDRAZANANY (FRANCE) VS LEVY CARRIEL (FRANCE)
It was scheduled for Levy Carriel (France) to meet Eliezer Kubanza (DRC), as both men prepared to defend their unbeaten records. Kubanza’s unfortunate pull-out opened up an opportunity that was quickly seized upon by Mathieu Rakotondrazanany, rendering the bout an all-French affair at catchweight (81kg). Rakotondrazanany has already made an impression on the Hexagone MMA platform, defeating Faudel Bentayeb via unanimous decision at Hexagone MMA 8 in July in his third professional victory. In turn, Levy Carriel will be no easy challenge.
