International acclaim has risen exponentially throughout the first seven seasons of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series thanks to the UFC‘S exercise in diversity. A professional mixed martial artist since July 2018 and representing King’s MMA, Dione Barbosa owns a 6-2 record in eight bouts comprised of three submissions and three decisions. Barbosa has fought for several promotions throughout her time in the professional ranks including Legacy Fighting Alliance. She secured her contract from the UFC on week five during season seven of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series in 2023. All three of Barbosa’s finishes over the course of her career as a professional MMA fighter have been inside the distance with 100 percent of those finishes coming within the opening round. She has gone to the scorecards three times during her career sweeping them clean across the board on all three occasions all coming via a unanimous verdict.
In her MMA debut, she submitted Cistimi Niero Pafaro via armbar in round one. Barbosa also tapped out Ana Paula da Silva in the first round via rear-naked choke. She defeated Karine Silva via unanimous decision. Then in her second appearance with Legacy Fighting Alliance on the main card of LFA 148, Barbosa defeated Mariana Piccolo via unanimous decision. She defeated Jessica Middleton via unanimous decision in the main card opener at LFA 152 to earn her third decision win as a professional.
In the opening contest of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series week five of season seven, Barbosa tapped out Rainn Guerrero via armbar in the first round. The win earned Barbosa the third submission victory of her professional career in addition to a UFC contract. Barbosa’s scorched earth policy could spell big trouble for future pairings!
