A professional mixed martial artist since October 2019 and representing The Lab, Cedric Gunnison holds a 7-2 record in nine bouts comprised of three knockouts, three decisions and one submission. He has finished four out of his seven overall victories during his time in the professional ranks. Gunnison has fought for several promotions over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter including Ring Of Combat and Cage Fury Fighting Championships. He is 3-2 under the CFFC banner.

In his MMA debut, he defeated William Worley via technical knockout in round one. Gunnison submitted Nick Olson in the second round in his promotional debut with Cage Fury Fighting Championships at CFFC 90 to secure his first and only submission victory as a professional. Then at Ring Of Combat 74, he defeated Armando Gjeti via unanimous decision. Gunnison knocked out Nick Rodrigues in the first round at Ring Of Combat 76. He knocked out Lirim Rufati in round one at Ring Of Combat 77 to earn his third knockout win as a professional. Gunnison defeated Zulkaranayin Kamchybekov via split decision in the main event of CFFC 117.

At CFFC 126, he defeated Julio Cesar Chaves via unanimous decision. The victory earned Gunnison the third decision win of his professional career in addition to securing win number three under the Cage Fury Fighting Championships banner in the process.
