Across The Pond Profile: Fury Fighting Championship fighter Cameron Smotherman

The spotlight of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series is often used as a catalyst to propel fighters’ confidence in promotions that they first rose in and learned the early lessons of the sporting life. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet the newest DWTNCS alumni ready to ride once more for Fury Fighting Championship as their trustiest steed at bantamweight. A professional mixed martial artist since March 2021 and representing Metro Fight Club, Cameron Smotherman owns a 8-4 record in 12 contests comprised of five knockouts and three decisions. He appeared on week two during the seventh cycle of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series in 2023. Smotherman has spent the bulk of his career as a professional MMA fighter with Fury Fighting Championship. He has finished five out of his eight victories overall during his time in the professional ranks. All five of Smotherman’s finishes during his career as a professional mixed martial artist have been inside the distance. He has gone to the scorecards three times during his professional career.

In his MMA debut at Fury FC 44, he knocked out Mario Bastidas in the second round. Smotherman defeated Stephen Perez via unanimous decision at Fury FC 45. He defeated his next two opponents via decision in John Yannis at Fury FC 64 and Casey Jones at Fury FC 71 respectively. Smotherman defeated Adam Martinez in round two at Fury FC 72.

In the main event of Fury FC 74, he knocked out Peter Cabellero in the second round.
