Many of the champions that have graced the hallowed halls of Cage Warriors in recent memory have begun their journey via the regional academy route in the United Kingdom for their respective region. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to the newest henchman of the academy castle ready to declare a declaration of hostile warfare on the lightweight division of Cage Warriors. A professional mixed martial artist since December 2022 and representing Tsunami Gym Norfolk, Tariq Pell owns a 3-0 record comprised of one knockout, one submission and one DQ. Pell fought for Cage Warriors Academy Southeast prior to debuting with Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors 163 in November 2023. All three of Pell’s wins during his time in the professional ranks have been inside the distance. He is 1-0 under the Cage Warriors banner with a single finish for the promotion under his belt with a time of 23 seconds. Pell has never gone to the scorecards at any juncture over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter. Pell has one first-round finish to go along with a single second-round finish in his three appearances as a professional mixed martial artist.

In his MMA debut at Cage Warriors Academy Southeast 30, he faced Harry Davies and went on to submit him via rear-naked choke in the second round. Pell defeated Marco Bellantuono via DQ in round two at Cage Warriors Academy Southeast 31. Then in his promotional debut with Cage Warriors on the preliminary card of Cage Warriors 163, he defeated Michael Blair in the first round via TKO. The victory secured Pell the first knockout win of his professional career in addition to his first win under the Cage Warriors banner in the process. Pell’s ability to increase pressure as the clock ticks away round by round is like swimming against the tide’s wrath!
