Following their successful debut event in the United Kingdom, the juggernaut that is Oktagon MMA will ring in 2024 by beginning the year with an event in Newcastle featuring Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series season six alumni Jack Cartwright in addition to many more European names of note. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will the latest member of the UK class ready to reveal himself and pull the wool over the bantamweight division on January 27 at Oktagon 52. A professional mixed martial artist since May 2022 and representing TFT MMA, Nathan Haywood holds a 3-1 record in four contests comprised of two submissions and one knockout. He has fought for Rise and Conquer. All three of Haywood’s victories during his career in the professional ranks have been inside the distance. He has two first-round finishes under his belt to go along with a single third-round finish and a 100 percent finish rate through four appearances to show for it during his career as a professional mixed martial artist thus far. Haywood has never gone to the scorecards at any juncture over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter. He has earned a finish in each of his wins as a professional.
In his MMA debut at Rise and Conquer 10, he faced Tomek Zdanowski and went on to knock him out in the third round to earn his first and only knockout win as a professional. Haywood submitted Ash Wood in round one via guillotine choke at Rise and Conquer 11. Then in the main event of Rise and Conquer 12, he tapped out Nestor Santana in the first round. The victory secured Haywood the second submission win of his professional career and picked up his second consecutive first-round finish in the process.
