Canadian MMA talents often possess a presence all their own in promotions outside of their home nation. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a Northern albatross ready to heat up the Minnesota night for Ignite Fights and carry the Canadian torch. A professional mixed martial artist since August 2021 and representing Leading Edge MMA under head coach Matt Richer, Devon Lozej holds a 4-2 record in six contests comprised of two knockouts, one submission and one decision. He has fought for various organizations over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter including Unified MMA and Legacy Fighting Alliance. Lozej has finished three out of his four victories overall during his time in the professional ranks. He is 1-0 under the Ignite Fights banner with a single finish under his belt in his only appearance with the promotion at Mecca 20 in November 2023 to show for it. All three of Lozej’s finishes during his career as a professional mixed martial artist have been inside the distance.

At 247 FC Battle in the Burgh 11, he faced Justin Patton and submitted him via rear-naked choke in the second round to score his first submission victory as a professional. Lozej defeated Reshal Malik via unanimous decision in his lone outing with Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 142 to earn his first and only decision win as a professional. Then at Clip MMA The Takeover, he defeated Shawn Mack in round one.

On the main card of Mecca 20, Lozej defeated Oscar Jurado Sanchez via technical knockout in the second round. The victory secured Lozej the second knockout win of his professional career in addition to his first win and finish under the Ignite Fights banner in the process. Lozej is an ice serpent with plenty of leverage and squeeze on either side of the boarder!
