Across The Pond profile Santos Verdinez

Minnesota often brings out the inner Viking in homegrown talents whether it is a show on the local circuit or the bright lights of LFA. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a plunderer of purple pride ready to channel his warrior spirit for Ignite Fights. A professional mixed martial artist since October 2022 and representing Striking Institute, Santos Verdinez holds a 3-1 record through four bouts comprised of two knockouts and one decision. He has fought for Ignite Fights and Legacy Fighting Alliance. Both of Verdinez’s finishes over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter have been inside the opening round. He is 1-1 under the Ignite Fights banner with a single finish under his belt in two appearances with the organization to show for it with a time of two minutes and 51 seconds. Verdinez has finished two out of his three wins during his career in the professional ranks with each finish coming in the space of five minutes or less. He fought for Legacy Fighting Alliance prior to debuting with Ignite Fights at Mecca 19 in June 2023. Verdinez also fought for Legacy Fighting Alliance as an amateur.

In his professional MMA debut and promotional debut with Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 145, he faced Kevin Messer and defeated him via technical knockout in the first round. Verdinez defeated Pierre Ba at LFA 157 to earn his first and only decision win as a professional alongside back-to-back victories with Legacy Fighting Alliance in the process. Then in the co-main event of Mecca 20, he defeated Zachary Flessas via TKO in round one. The victory secured Verdinez the second knockout win of his professional career in addition to his second first-round finish. He also picked up his first win and finish under the Ignite Fights banner. When Verdinez comes ashore to lay down the gauntlet, sound the alarm bells!
