A professional mixed martial artist since July 2023 and representing SubZone Fight Academy, Tom Burton holds a 2-0 record with each of his victories coming via TKO. He has fought for Full Contact Contender and Budo Fighting Championships. Burton has two first-round finishes under his belt in both of his appearances as a professional mixed martial artist and has a 100 percent finish rate to show for it. Both of his wins have been inside the opening round in the span of five minutes or less. Burton has never gone to the scorecards at any point over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter. He has finished both of his victories during his time in the professional ranks with times of one minute and three minutes and 44 seconds respectively.  He has spent his entire career in the United Kingdom.

In his professional MMA debut at Budo Fighting Championships 61, he faced Ryan Franklin and went on to defeat him via technical knockout in round one. Then in the opening main card bout of FCC 36, Burton defeated Alexandru Velenciuc via TKO in the first round. The victory earned Burton the second knockout win of his professional career along with back-to back first-round finishes. He also picked up his second victory in addition to his second finish to begin his professional career in the process.
