Nate Diaz Hints a Huge Octagon Comeback at UFC 300

Nate Diaz Wants to Seek Title Fight Rematch Against Leon Edwards

UFC 300 Approaches with Substantial Fight Card for April’s Historic Event.

UFC 300 is shaping up for a monumental collision in Las Vegas on April 13, marking a triumphant journey in the sport since its formation in 1993. The event promises a legendary lineup, featuring former champion Aljamain Sterling’s bold move up to featherweight against Calvin Kattar.

Nate Diaz is eyeing a grand return to the Octagon at UFC 300 and asserts there are currently no available opponents. However, he’s set his sights on a title rematch with welterweight champion Leon Edwards calling him out on his Twitter handle.

Nate Diaz Down for a Comeback

Nate Diaz exited the UFC after a victory against Tony Ferguson at UFC 279 in September 2022, coinciding with the conclusion of his contract. The departure seemed polite, despite occasional tensions with the promotion and UFC CEO Dana White. The possibility of Diaz’s return lingers, as the octagon doors remain open and Diaz currently being a free agent.

After he departed from the UFC, Nate Diaz secured a high-profile boxing match against Jake Paul. The bout took place in August, with Paul emerging victorious via unanimous decision.

In their UFC 263 showdown two years ago, Nate Diaz experienced a one-sided unanimous decision defeat to Leon Edwards. Despite the loss, Diaz nearly orchestrated a stunning upset, rocking the now-champion in the final minute of the fifth round.

Dustin Poirier Calls Out Nate Diaz

Shortly after Diaz took his Twitter to express that there are no opponents for his UFC 300 comeback Poirier jumped in expressing his interest in the matchup.

Nate Diaz and Dustin Poirier were slated to face off in the UFC 230 co-main event on November 3, 2018. Unfortunately, Poirier withdrew from the bout due to a hip injury, leading both fighters to take different paths in their UFC journeys.

Dustin Poirier, ranked as the No. 3 lightweight, recently faced a setback with a knockout loss to Justin Gaethje in the ceremonial BMF title fight at UFC 291. On the other hand, Nate Diaz, who hasn’t competed in the lightweight division since his victory over Michael Johnson in December 2015, has exclusively fought at welterweight in his last six UFC appearances.

As the anticipation for UFC 300 builds, Nate Diaz‘s potential comeback and desire for a title rematch against Leon Edwards add an extra layer of excitement to the historic event in Las Vegas on April 13, promising fans an unforgettable night of MMA action.
