The Amateur MMA ranks are designed to be a measuring gauge for aspiring mixed martial artists to wade through the waters on their set terms and can be factored in when determining the professional timeline. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet the newest swordsmith on the scene ready to cut a slice of the amateur pie on March 2 at Caestus MMA 2 from the Montrose town hall. An amateur mixed martial artist since July 2021 and representing Jax Mixed Martial Arts, Liam Fullerton holds a 2-1 record with both of his victories coming via technical knockout. He has fought for Caestus MMA and Battle Arena. Each of his finishes during his time in the Amateur ranks have been within two rounds. Fullerton has never gone to the scorecards at any juncture over the course of his career as an Amateur MMA fighter and has a 100 percent finish rate to show for it. He is 1-0 under the Caestus MMA banner with a single finish under his belt in his lone appearance with the organization. He has one first-round finish to go along with one second-round finish during his career as an Amateur mixed martial artist thus far.
In his Amateur MMA debut at Battle Arena 62, he faced Harvey Taylor and went on to defeat him via TKO in round one. Then in his promotional debut with Caestus MMA at Caestus MMA 1 Fullerton defeated Jonny Dugan via technical knockout in the second round. The victory scored Fullerton the second knockout win of his amateur career in addition to his first victory under the Caestus MMA banner. He also picked up his second win and finish as an Amateur in the process. Fullerton shows regardless of what rank you start out at, there can be no reward without knowing when to cash in all your chips for a sizable payday!
