One of the very best prospects anywhere in the world is staying with Europe’s leading MMA promotion.
We are delighted to announce that current featherweight champion, Losene Keita (12-1), has signed a new, multi-year deal with OKTAGON MMA. ‘Blank Panther’ is also now confirmed to be a participant in the upcoming €1 million Tipsport Gamechanger lightweight tournament.
The Belgian sensation made his debut with the organisation back in December 2021 and captured the lightweight belt within a year, defeating Karol Ryšavý, Ronald Paradeiser and Ivan Buchinger on his path to gold. He then dropped down to the featherweight division, where he finished Samuel Bark and Niko Samsonidse in order to claim his second championship. At only 26-years-old, Keita is only just touching the surface of his sporting potential and the sky really is the limit for this uber talent.
“We are very happy that Losene is staying with us, despite offers from the world’s top organisations,” said OKTAGON MMA co-owner, Ondřej Novotný. “He believes it’s best for him to stay in Europe’s biggest organisation and fight in front of the best fans in sold-out arenas. He has signed a multi-year contract with us and will stay on after this year’s Tipsport Gamechanger.”
The entire opening round of the European MMA Champions League featuring the best lightweight talent on the continent including Losene Keita, Makwan Amirkhani, Daniel Torres, Ronald Paradeiser, Akonne Wanliss and Mochamed Machaev goes down at OKTAGON 54 on March 2.
This new signing is further evidence that our best fighters are staying in OKTAGON MMA and choosing us over every other promotion worldwide.
