Across The Pond Profile: Cage Warriors fighter Sheldon Ryan

New signings can be the answer to a promotion’s prayers because it allows them additional growing room in other sectors of the globe while bolstering their overall bottom line at the same time. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to the newest constrictor ready to crush the competition’s soul as the latest addition to the flyweight division for Cage Warriors as 2024 gets underway. A professional mixed martial artist since June 2022 and representing One MMA Academy, Sheldon Ryan holds a 3-1 record in four bouts comprised of two submissions and one knockout. He has fought for Budo Fighting Championships and Full Contact Contender and has a 100 percent finish rate. All three of Ryan’s victories during his career in the professional ranks have been inside the distance. Ryan has never gone to the scorecards at any point over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter. He has two first-round finishes under his belt to go along with a single third-round finish during his career as a professional mixed martial artist.

At Full Contact Contender 32, he faced Mohammed Shahbir Shaqi and submitted him in round three via rear-naked choke. Ryan defeated Pol McElligott via technical knockout in the first round at Budo Fighting Championships 57 to score his first and only knockout win as a professional. Then in the main event of Budo Fighting Championships 61, he tapped out Nicola Tropi via rear-naked choke in round one. The win secured Ryan the second submission victory of his professional career along with back-to-back wins and finishes under the Budo Fighting Championships banner. He also picked up his third overall victory in addition to his third finish as a professional in the process. At 3-1, Ryan has the practiced eye of a trained cobra who has plenty of venom waiting in the tall grass for unsuspecting quarries!
