For fighters who are on an upward trajectory, the hardest-fought victories are often achieved by going into enemy territory. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet the latest middleweight missile ready to explode upon impact and leave the division in tattered rags in the process on April 6 at Cage Warriors 170 from the RDS in the Irish capital. A professional mixed martial artist since December 2021 and representing Auroa Mixed Martial Arts, Francesco Mazzeo owns an undefeated 3-0 record comprised of two knockouts and a DQ. He is 2-0 under the Cage Warriors banner with one finish in two appearances with the organization. Mazzeo has a finish rate of 100 percent and has never gone to the scorecards at any juncture over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter. The majority of his wins during his time in the professional MMA ranks have come inside the opening round. Mazzeo has spent the majority of his career as a professional mixed martial artist in his home nation of Italy. Both of his finishes during his professional career have come within the space of five minutes or less with times of 43 seconds and 59 seconds respectively.
In his MMA debut at Lugano in the cage 4, he faced Alessandro Esposito and went on to defeat him via TKO in round one. Mazzeo defeated Joan Arastey via technical knockout in the first round in his promotional debut with Cage Warriors on the preliminary card of Cage Warriors 154 to secure his second knockout win as a professional. Then in his second appearance with Cage Warriors on the preliminary card of Cage Warriors 163, he defeated Angus Hewitt via DQ in round two.
For his third outing with Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors 170 on April 6, he will face fellow unbeaten Jordan O’ Neill in a middleweight encounter. Good luck Francesco!
