Mixed martial arts fighters are natural nomads at heart because they are often required to travel the world for a sport where the toils of life never cease to slow them down. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a hawk of fearless flight ready to hone his talons as Iowa’s man of the hour for Ignite Fights on February 17 at Canterbury Park. A professional mixed martial artist since February 2020 and representing Elite Edge MMA, Johnny Hopper holds an 8-3 record in 11 contests comprised of six knockouts and two submissions. He has fought for several promotions during his career in the professional MMA ranks including Legacy Fighting Alliance and Anthony Pettis Fighting Championship. Hopper has finished all eight of his victories over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter. 100 percent of his wins have been inside the distance during his tenure as a professional mixed martial artist.
In his MMA debut at True Revelation MMA 41, he defeated Kurstan Davenport via technical knockout in the first round. Hopper knocked out Jessy Ebrecht in round one at AFC 22. Then at True Revelation MMA 42, he defeated Jessie Hannam via TKO in the first round. Hopper submitted Brandt Cooper in round one via triangle choke at True Revelation MMA 45. He defeated Davenport for the second time via rear-naked choke in the first round at True Revolution 46 to earn his second submission win as a professional. Hopper defeated Jacob Kindig via technical knockout in round one at Anthony Pettis FC 2 Midwest Invitational 2022. He defeated Juan Roman via TKO in the third round at Anthony Pettis FC 3 Milwaukee fight night.
In the main event of Ignite Fights 20, Hopper defeated Bobby Lee via technical knockout in round four. The victory scored Hopper the sixth knockout win of his professional career. He also picked up his eighth win overall as a professional in the process. Hopper is one bird of prey that can swoop down and zero in on the opposition if they stray too far off course!
