Oktagon MMA is certainly securing its place at the table in the hearts of UK MMA circles as the new sheriff in town by staying committed to the UK’S undying enthusiasm for professional sports. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet the latest gem of the flyweight division ready to add another jewel to her trophy crown on April 20 at Oktagon 56 from Resorts World Arena in Birmingham for the second leg of the UK adventure. A professional mixed martial artist since August 2021 and representing North West Fight Academy, Megan Morris holds a 2-2 record with both of her victories coming via submission. She has fought for various promotions over the course of her career in the professional MMA ranks including Ares Fighting Championship and Full Contact Contender. Morris has a 100 percent finish rate and is 1-0 under the Oktagon MMA banner with a single finish in her only appearance with the organization. Both of Morris’s finishes during her career as a professional mixed martial artist have been inside the distance. She has one first-round finish in addition to one third-round finish through four professional appearances under her belt so far.
In her professional MMA debut at FCC 26, she faced Levi Steedman and went on to submit her in the first round via armbar. Then in her promotional debut with Oktagon MMA at Oktagon 47, Morris tapped out Veronika Smolkova via armbar in round three. The win secured Morris the second submission victory of her professional career along with her first win under the Oktagon MMA banner. She also scored her second overall victory as a professional in the process. At Oktagon 56 on April 20, Morris will face Spain’s Aitana Alvarez in a flyweight affair. Good luck Megan!
