For undefeated fighters hoping to remain in the ranks of the unbeaten, the hardest battles come in enemy territory with fortune’s deck stacked against them. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet the newest Welsh warrior knight ready to tame the Irish flame on April 6 at Cage Warriors 170 at the RDS in the Irish capital of Dublin and reshape the featherweight landscape. A professional mixed martial artist since March 2023 and representing Celtic Pride Martial Arts and Craig Ewers Academy, Ieuan Mackenzie owns an unbeaten 3-0 record comprised of two submissions and one knockout. He has fought for several organizations during his professional career including Levels Fight League and Budo Fighting Championships. Mackenzie has a finish rate of 100 percent and has never gone to the scorecards at any juncture over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter. All three of his finishes during his career as a professional mixed martial artist have been inside the distance. He has three first-round finishes in three professional appearances under his belt with all of those finishes coming inside of five minutes or less.
In his MMA debut at Budo Fighting Championships 55, he faced Mickey Miller and defeated him in the first round to score his first and only knockout win as a professional. Mackenzie submitted Tra’vell Boone in round one at Levels Fight League 5. He tapped out Pepijn Schupp in round one via rear-naked choke. The win secured Mackenzie the second submission victory of his professional career in addition to his third consecutive finish. He also picked up his third win overall as a professional in the process. For his promotional debut with Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors 170 on April 6, he will face fellow unbeaten Solomon Simon in a featherweight encounter. Other debutants at Cage Warriors 170 include Jordan O’Neill and Jenny Line. Good luck Ieuan!
