Across The Pond Profile: Cage Warriors fighter Matthew Elliott

There comes a time in every fighter’s career when doubt eventually tests the mental stamina of professional athletics at home and abroad. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a Belfast cannoneer ready to blast all doubt to smithereens as he enters his third voyage into featherweight waters at Cage Warriors 170 from Dublin’s RDS on April 6. A professional mixed martial artist since March 2021 and representing Fight Academy Ireland, Matthew Elliott holds a 2-1 record with both of his wins during his career in the professional MMA ranks coming via decision. Elliott has gone to the scorecards twice during his professional career. He is 1-1 under the Cage Warriors banner. Elliott has one unanimous decision win to go along with a single split decision victory in two professional appearances under his belt thus far. Each of his victories over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter have come over a period of three rounds and a duration of 15 minutes. Elliott has spent his entire career as a professional mixed martial artist in the United Kingdom. He has fought for Cage Conflict and Cage Warriors.

In his professional MMA debut and promotional debut with Cage Warriors in the opening preliminary bout of Cage Warriors 120, he faced Scott Pedersen and went on to defeat him via unanimous decision to secure his first win under the Cage Warriors banner. Elliott defeated Michel Da Silva via a split decision at Cage Conflict 6 Revive. The victory scored Elliott the second decision win of his professional career. He also picked up his second victory overall as a professional in the process.

In his third outing with Cage Warriors on April 6 at Cage Warriors 170, he will face Valentino Riva in a featherweight affair. Other recent additions to Cage Warriors 170 include new signing Ger Harris and the undefeated Scott Harvey. Good luck Matthew!
