BRAVE Combat Federation’s first event of 2024 has a main event – and it is a big one. European superstar Erko Jun will face the biggest challenge of his career as he faces Mohammed Said Maalem in a Light Heavyweight fight serving as the headliner of BRAVE CF 81, on April 20, in association with WFC.
Erko Jun made waves last year when he earned a monumental victory in his BRAVE CF debut, stopping local legend Marko Drmonjic in Slovenia. Now, as the organization returns to the Balkans country, Jun once again will be the main attraction.
And he will have his hands full for his BRAVE CF return, as he faces one of the greatest fighters out of MENA. Algeria’s own Mohammed Said Maalem is a staple of BRAVE CF’s Light Heavyweight division, having held the world title for a few weeks before his victory over longtime rival Mohammad Fakhreddine was overturned due to illegal punches.
And after losing the rematch against Fakhreddine, Said Maalem is eager for a winning return to the most global MMA organization in the world. ‘’L’Ambiance’’ is one of the biggest athletes in Algeria, having represented his country in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Italy before under the BRAVE CF banner.
For Erko Jun, a victory over an athlete who has held the world title at one point is a massive statement. As ‘’The Bounty Hunter’’ readies himself for the biggest fight of his career, the reward might be just around the corner: a world title shot for BRAVE CF.
BRAVE CF 81 takes place at the Hala Tivoli Arena, in Ljubljana, Slovenia, in association with leading regional organization WFC, and will feature the top fighters from Europe, as the most global promotion in the MMA industry kicks off its 2024 European Tour, which will feature stops in the Netherlands, Croatia, Germany, and France.
