Minnesota has quickly become a fan-favorite fighting state whenever LFA heads their way to dull the chill of a winter’s night. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a cold carver ready to put featherweights on slippery skates at LFA 181 on April 5 from the Mystic Lake Casino Hotel as he joins the decorated list of twin city terrors that have stepped into the combat zone for the promotion. A professional mixed martial artist since December 2023 and representing The Academy under head coach Greg Nelson, Canon Swanson owns a 1-0 record with the sole win of his professional career coming via submission. The only finish during Swanson’s career as a professional mixed martial artist has come within the opening round with a time of one minute and 42 seconds. He has one first-round finish in his one and only professional appearance under his belt. Swanson has never gone to the scorecards at any point over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter. His only victory during his career in the professional MMA ranks has been inside of five minutes with one tapout to show for it. Swanson has a finish rate of 100 percent and has fought for Battle MMA Championships.
In his professional MMA debut at Battle MMA Championships, he submitted Trey Zupanic in the first round via arm-triangle choke. The victory scored Swanson the first submission win of his professional career in addition to his first finish. He also picked up win number one as a professional in the process.
For his promotional debut with Legacy Fighting Alliance on April 5 at LFA 181, he will take on Kurtis Ellis in a featherweight contest. Other fighters that are set to appear on LFA 181 include Quang Le, Steven Asplund, Wes Schultz and Kelton Sneve. Good luck Canon!
