Across The Pond Profile: Cage Warriors fighter Ermil Xhaferi

The title of the giant killer comes with great responsibilities for today’s generation of MMA stars because of the trappings of fame and all of the added pressures that come along with ascending stardom. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a finisher of ferocious havoc ready to continue the chase in the race to become a contending threat at lightweight for Cage Warriors in his biggest challenge to date for the promotion at Cage Warriors 175 on July 25 from Manchester’s BEC Arena. A professional mixed martial artist since September 2020 and representing GB Top Team, Ermil Xhaferi owns a 5-1-1 record in six appearances comprised of three submissions, two knockouts and a draw. He has finished all five of his victories over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter and is 1-1 under the Cage Warriors banner. Xhaferi has never gone to the scorecards at any time during his professional career with a 100 percent finishing rate to show for it.

In his MMA debut at National Fighting Championship 2, he submitted Fatih Aydin via rear-naked choke in the third round. Xhaferi defeated Mahmut Ozyilidrim via TKO in round one at National Fighting Championship 7. Then at National Fighting Championship 8, he tapped out Lowa Mstoyan in the second round via bulldog choke. Xhaferi defeated Jordan Beljic via technical knockout in round two at SLM 4 to secure his second knockout win as a professional. In his second outing with Cage Warriors on the preliminary card of Cage Warriors 169 he submitted Aaron Johnson via rear-naked choke in round one to earn the third submission win of his professional career in addition to his fifth victory overall. He also picked up his first victory and finish under the Cage Warriors banner in the process.

On July 25 at Cage Warriors 175, he will take on fellow finisher Adam Cullen in an all-action affair at lightweight. Good luck Ermil!
