With just over 24 hours to go until Cage Warriors 175 bell-time, the fighters hit the scales at Manchester’s Park Inn by Radisson Hotel on Wednesday morning.
In the evening’s main, event both challenger Robin Roos (182.2lbs) and champion Dario Bellandi looked comfortable on the scales for their middleweight title bout, in what promises to be a classic striker versus grappler affair.
In a bout that could easily have featured on Saturday night’s UFC 304 card, Italian prospect Michael Pagani takes on UFC veteran and former Cage Warriors double champ Mason ‘The Dragon’ Jones.
The Welshman initially tipped the scales .4 of a pound over, before returning well within the allotted window to hit 156 even.
Pagani hit the 156 limit at the first time of asking.
Elsewhere on the nineteen-bout card, only Kevin Cesari and Maicon Kobayashi could not make their contracted weights.
Cesari eventually registered a weight of 139.9 lbs for his bantamweight bout with Jack Axworthy (134lbs), while Kobayashi made 166.1 lbs for his 165lb catchweight contest against Teddy Stringer.
Both bouts will go ahead, with those who missed weight being fined a percentage of their purse.
