BRAVE Combat Federation is set to host the next generation of Pakistani fighters, as well as the biggest combat sports chapter in the historic India vs. Pakistan sporting rivalry at BRAVE CF 85, with the event featuring two highly anticipated matchups pitting the top fighters from both nations against each other.
Pakistan’s Rizwan Ali and Zia Mashwani will face off against India’s Srikant Sekhar and Bharat Khandare, respectively, with the Pakistani fighters seeking to avenge a recent defeat in BRAVE CF.
The last India vs. Pakistan encounter in BRAVE Combat Federation happened at BRAVE CF 47, where Pakistan’s Uloomi Karim faced India’s Mohammed Farhad. Farhad secured a memorable knockout victory, which quickly went viral, gaining millions of views on social media.
One of the first-generation MMA fighters from Pakistan, Uloomi has represented Pakistan across the globe having fought twice in BRAVE Combat Federation as well. Uloomi also had a win over India’s Yadwinder Singh during his MMA run but was stopped by Farhad’s knockout prowess at BRAVE CF 47.
Now, three years later, Rizwan Ali and Zia Mashwani will step into the cage at BRAVE CF 85 in Pakistan, aiming to avenge Uloomi Karim.
Rizwan Ali enters the fight following a recent victory in a Karate showdown between India and Pakistan. The undefeated prospect faces the toughest challenge of his career in the co-main event against Srikant Sekhar. Meanwhile, Zia Mashwani, a BRAVE CF veteran who fought in the organization’s first event in Pakistan, returns after a recent win in the regional circuit. He will be up against Indian MMA veteran Bharat Khandare, who seeks to make a historic comeback after seven years away from the sport.
Outside of the India vs Pakistan rivalry, other fighters will look to make a name for themselves on the global stage, as is the case for Aqib Awan, who takes on Marwin Quirante, and Ismail Khan, facing Bagylan Zakhansha in two huge Flyweight bouts.
Also set for fight night is the biggest Pakistani fighter, as Abbas Khan returns home to take on Adham Mohamed. Khan is the only fighter victorious at BRAVE CF 17, BRAVE CF’s first-ever Pakistan event, who is also fighting at BRAVE CF 85.
