BRAVE Combat Federation crowned two new world champions at BRAVE CF 88 as Erko Jun and Pavel Dailidko ascended to the thrones of their respective weight divisions. While the individual achievement of the fighters does stand out, the title wins were also a celebration of the friendship between the two European stars.

Erko Jun and Pavel Dailidko are two names that climbed the ranks together, initially as acquaintances and then as friends.

Their journey to the top started at BRAVE CF 70 in Slovenia. Erko Jun headlined the fight card in what was his BRAVE CF debut and impressed everyone when he stopped Marko Drmonjic in the first-round to kickstart his rise to the top.

Pavel, on the other hand, faced off Slovenia’s Luka Podkrajsek at the event in what was his second fight in the organization. The Lithuanian entered the fight on the back of his debut loss in BRAVE Combat Federation against Shamil Gaziev and was looking for a breakthrough performance. He got just that when he stopped Luka Podkrajsek in the first-round. This marked the start of Pavel’s rise in the BRAVE CF Heavyweight division after which he secured three more knockout wins before BRAVE CF 88, the last of which happened at BRAVE CF 81 in Slovenia.

At BRAVE CF 81, Erko Jun and Pavel once again shared the fight card with Jun fighting Mohamed Said Maalem in the main event when Pavel took on the experienced Valdrin Istrefi. Both fighters secured finishes in their respective fights, in turn, earning title shots.

The rise of Jun and Pavel culminated at BRAVE CF 88, their third fight card together, once again in Slovenia as Erko won the Light Heavyweight title in the main event when Pavel became the Inaugural BRAVE CF Heavyweight champion in the co-main event, achieving world championship glory on the same card; marking a historic moment for European MMA.

Over the past few years, the world has witnessed the rise of Pavel and Jun together and now, the champions are preparing for their first major challenges in the stacked Light Heavyweight and Heavyweight divisions.
