The bright lights and the crowd’s roar will blind even the best of the best at a fighter’s greatest moment of vulnerability, showing them that they are human even in the face of our world’s changing fortunes. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a medicine man of frozen intimidation out to administer an icy remedy to the opposition and show that his healing hands are anything by bound by a doctor’s oath. A professional mixed martial artist since November 2021 and representing Elevation Fight Team, Philip Latu holds a 6-2 record in eight bouts with all six of his wins during his career in the professional ranks coming via knockout. Latu appeared on week five as part of the eighth installment of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series in 2024. He has fought for several promotions over the course of his journey as a professional MMA fighter including Fury Fighting Championship and Cage Fury Fighting Championships. Latu has spent his entire career as a professional mixed martial artist in the United States. He has never gone to the scorecards during his professional career with a 100 percent finish rate to show for it.
In his professional MMA debut, he knocked out Odell Pantin in the second round. Latu defeated Cameron Chism-Brungard via technical knockout in round one. Then at Fury Fighting Championship 77, he defeated Richard Luis via TKO in the first round. Latu defeated Maurice Morris via technical knockout in round one at ECF 1. He knocked out Jestus Faaiu in the third round in his promotional debut under the Cage Fury Fighting Championships banner at CFFC 127.
At CFFC 130, Latu defeated Dylan Potter via technical knockout in the second round. The victory earned Latu the sixth knockout win of his professional career along with back-to-back wins and finishes under the Cage Fury Fighting Championships banner. He also secured his sixth victory inside the professional ranks in the process. Latu’s chilly knockouts can send ailing opponents straight to the emergency warm up ward!
