Making a memorable impression on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series even on short notice can be arduous for prospects on the fringe of breaking through the professional wall. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet the latest Winter Wrecker ready to hit the demolition switch and knock the opposition down like rows of dominos as the newest member of the UFC‘S Middleweight division. A professional mixed martial artist since June 2021 and representing Pura Vida BJJ and MMA, Nick Klein holds a 6-1 record in seven outings comprised of three submissions, two knockouts and one decision. Klein secured his UFC contract on the season finale of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series season eight in 2024. He has fought for various promotions over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter including Legacy Fighting Alliance. Klein has spent his whole professional career in the United States.
In his professional MMA debut at Pure Fighting Championships 19, he defeated Dan Almario via technical knockout in round one. Klein also defeated Kacey Joe Sanders via TKO in the first round at Pure Fighting Championships 21 to lock up his second knockout win as a professional. Then at LFA 131, he defeated Tristan Overvig via unanimous decision to score his first and only decision victory as a professional. Klein submitted Collin Huckbody via rear-naked choke in round three at Ignite Fights no mercy 11. He tapped out Cody Simpson via rear-naked choke in the first round in the main event of MCC 69 Thanksgiving Throwdown.
In the main event of week 10 as part of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series season eight, he submitted Heraldo Souza in round one via rear-naked choke. The victory earned Klein the third submission win of his professional career in addition to a UFC contract. He also secured his sixth win inside the professional ranks in the process. Limited notice or a full camp does not stop Klein from being a mech wreck when an assignment is issued!
