Now more than ever before, the international appeal in Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series is a living testament to the popularity of mixed martial arts worldwide alongside the UFC‘s willingness to go global to acquire the top-tier talents in the name of expansion. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a boomerang of Down Under thunder ready to be lightning in an outback bottle for the UFC as their newest Australian acquisition at 24 years of age. A professional mixed martial artist since February 2021 and representing Luistro Combat Academy, Quillan Salkilld owns a 7-1 record in eight contests comprised of three submissions, two knockouts and two decisions. He acquired his UFC contract on week four during Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series season eight in 2024 and has fought for Eternal MMA. Salkilld has finished five out of his seven wins overall over the course of his journey in the professional MMA ranks. The majority of Salkilld’s finishes as a professional mixed martial artist have come inside of two rounds. He has gone to the scorecards twice as a professional MMA fighter cleaning house across the board on both occasions.

At Eternal MMA 62, Salkilld submitted Nicko Flessas in round one. He also tapped out Dom Mar Fan via rear-naked choke in the second round at Eternal MMA 68. Then at Eternal MMA 73, Salkilld defeated Niam Stephen via technical knockout in round one. He knocked out Blake Donnelly in the first round at Eternal MMA 76 to notch his second knockout victory as a professional. Salkilld defeated Brett Pastore at Eternal MMA 80 via unanimous decision. He submitted Mar Fan for the second time at Eternal MMA 82 via rear-naked choke in round two to score his third submission win as a professional.

In the opening bout of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series week four of season eight, he defeated Gauge Young via unanimous decision. The win earned Salkilld the second decision victory of his professional career in addition to a UFC contract. He also secured his seventh victory inside the professional ranks in the process. Salkilld’s Australian flame will usher in a whole new brand of Down Under sparks as he joins fellow contract winner Cody Haddon in the Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series youth movement!
