At Midwest Cage Championship 67, he faced David McKinney and defeated him via TKO in round one. Coover submitted Tony Crowder via rear-naked choke in the first round at MCC 60. In the main event of Synergy FC 14, he defeated Ray Hayes via technical knockout in round one. The win earned Coover the second knockout victory of his professional career. He also secured his seventh victory inside the professional ranks in the process.
