Being a mixed martial artist often means never staying in one place for an extended period of time because they have to be ready at the drop of a hat with limited time once their number is called. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a Chesapeake cannonball of harmonic liberties ready to create discordant notes in the name of sisterly security for Cage Fury Fighting Championships. A professional mixed martial artist since November 2022 and representing Kaizen MMA, Maya Stewart holds a 3-2 record in five contests consisting of one submission, one knockout and one decision. She has fought for several promotions throughout her journey as a professional MMA fighter including Cage Fury Fighting Championships, Combat Zone MMA and Fury Fighting Championship. Stewart has spent her entire professional career in the United States. She has finished two out of her three total wins during her career inside the professional ranks with both of those finishes coming within the opening round. Stewart’s one and only decision win as a professional mixed martial artist has resulted in a split decision verdict. She has two first-round finishes under her belt in five appearances as a professional thus far.

At NFC 162, she faced Krissa Timbs and defeated her via technical knockout in the first round to notch her lone knockout win as a professional. Stewart defeated Aliva Bierley via a split decision on the main card of Fury FC 90 to score her only decision victory as a professional.

Then on the preliminary card of CFFC 139, she submitted Becca Evans via ninja choke in round one. The victory earned Stewart the first submission win of her professional career in addition to her second overall finish. She also secured her third victory inside the professional ranks in the process. When this cavalier comes ashore, freedom is not far behind!
