The controversial figure, Conor McGregor, is back again in the spotlight. He has recently faced serious legal issues, including rape and assault allegations—something not unfamiliar to the MMA community. Despite staying silent on the matter, his constant activity has kept fans buzzing about his motivation to return to the octagon.

The former UFC champ just shared a new training video on social media, sparking excitement among fans about a possible return. He also expressed interest in the UFC 314 fight between Michael Chandler and Paddy Pimblett. This revelation has many wondering if he might step back into the Octagon soon.

Conor McGregor’s Cryptic Message Ahead of UFC 314

Conor McGregor has been out of the octagon since July 10 at UFC 264 after suffering a severe leg injury. He was set to return last year, but losing a civil rape case against Nikita Hand made his return to the cage uncertain again.

Meanwhile, McGregor has repeatedly expressed his desire to return to either the UFC or boxing—even in India under the Ambani family’s promotion—but he has faced heavy criticism due to those allegations.

Currently in Dubai, the 36-year-old shared a video of himself, which once again showed his interest in returning to the octagon ahead of UFC 314. This Thursday, McGregor posted the video on Instagram with a simple caption: “I am interested in the Chandler/Pimblett fight this weekend,” McGregor wrote.

In the Instagram post, Conor McGregor also tagged both the UFC and its parent company, TKO Group. This cryptic message has sparked speculation about McGregor’s intentions, especially considering his history with Chandler, a former rival from their time as opposing coaches on “The Ultimate Fighter.”

Paddy Pimblett Responds to Conor McGregor

Paddy Pimblett has responded to Conor McGregor‘s recent comments expressing interest in the UFC 314 co-main event. During the pre-fight press conference, Pimblett said that he had seen McGregor’s post. “The Baddy” added, “I’d welcome the fight, that’s where the money is at, but I can’t look past Michael (Chandler) on Saturday night. I need to get the win here. That’s all that matters.”

Not only did Paddy respond, but also Michael Chandler took notice of Conor’s cryptic post. “I’m sure he’s watching,” Chandler said at the UFC 314 pre-fight press conference. “He watches and he’s very interested in coming back.” However, the 38-year-old questioned whether McGregor could even put together a training camp. Conor has yet to make any response.
