Why Dricus Du Plessis is Khamzat Chimaev’s Most Likely Title Fight
As the current UFC Middleweight Champion, Dricus Du Plessis is the frontrunner to face Khamzat Chimaev next. After his recent win over Sean Strickland and a strong record against top contenders, a fight with Chimaev would be a major test for both men.
We also can’t deny that Dana White seems to support the idea. During the UFC 314 post-fight press conference, reporters asked White if Chimaev could headline UFC 317. He didn’t give a direct answer but teased, “Many want to see Chimaev in the main event… It’s going to be fun! Stay tuned for Tuesday.”
