Staying in sporting shape when an athlete’s number gets called never means the complete closure of one dream, but the birth of a fresh adventure rich with new opportunities. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a behemoth of grueling and grinding bulk ready to unpack his fierce fears and frustrations at Heavyweight in the UFC. A professional mixed martial artist since October 2023 and representing Jackson-Wink MMA, Josh Hokit owns an undefeated 7-0 record consisting of four knockouts and three submissions. Hokit has fought for Legacy Fighting Alliance, the UFC and Bellator MMA. He earned his UFC contract on week two of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series season nine in 2025 and is 1-0 under the UFC banner. Hokit has finished all seven of his victories and has never gone to the scorecards over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter with a 100 percent finish rate through seven appearances inside the professional ranks under his belt to show for it.
In his professional MMA debut at Bellator 300, he submitted Spencer Smith via arm-triangle choke in the third round. Hokit also tapped out Sean Rose in round one via armbar at Bellator Champions Series San Diego. Then in his promotional debut under the Legacy Fighting Alliance banner at LFA 199, he defeated John Lopez via TKO in the first round. Hokit submitted Ezekiel Latu in round one via rear-naked choke at LFA 203 to earn his third submission win as a professional. He defeated Eric Lunsford via technical knockout in the first round at LFA 208. Hokit defeated Guilherme Uriel via TKO in round two in the second bout of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series week two of season nine to score a contract with the UFC.
At UFC On ESPN Plus 122, he defeated Max Gimenis via technical knockout in the first round to pick up the fourth knockout victory of his professional career in addition to win and finish number one under the UFC banner. Hokit also earned his seventh consecutive win as a professional mixed martial artist in the process. Hokit’s fearsome feats of manly maulings prove that even the strongest of specimens can turn a villainous eye of evil once he becomes dialed in and cancels out negativity!
