Caroline Dubois Signs with MVP, Set to Defend WBC Title on Paul vs Joshua Undercard

Undefeated WBC lightweight world champion Caroline Dubois has signed with Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), marking a major coup for the fast-growing promotional outfit. The British Olympic medallist, widely regarded as one of the sport’s most exciting young talents, will make her promotional debut on one of the year’s biggest cards.

Dubois will defend her WBC title against Italy’s Camila Panatta on the preliminary card of ‘Jake vs. Joshua: Judgment Day’ at the Kaseya Centre in Miami on Friday, 19 December. The event, headlined by Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua, will stream live globally on Netflix.

“Signing with MVP is the next step in my career,” said Dubois. “I believe they will be able to help me on my Quest for Greatness. The mission must be to become the face of women’s boxing.”

A Champion Joins an Elite Roster

The 24-year-old Londoner, who boasts a perfect 11-0-1 (5 KOs) professional record, adds immediate championship credibility to MVP’s stable. She joins fellow British stars on the roster, including Ellie Scotney, Chantelle Cameron, and Savannah Marshall, underscoring MVP’s significant investment in elite UK women’s boxing.

Dubois’ amateur pedigree is exceptional. A Youth Olympic gold medallist, four-time European Youth champion, and BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year winner, she represented Team GB at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics before turning professional in 2022.

Her rapid professional ascent saw her claim the IBO title in 2023 before winning and later being elevated to the full WBC lightweight championship in 2024.

Historic Stage for Title Defence

Defending her belt on the undercard of the Paul vs Joshua blockbuster provides Dubois with an unprecedented platform. The event is expected to draw a global audience via Netflix, offering massive exposure for the champion.

“Caroline Dubois has been the most coveted free agent in women’s boxing,” said MVP co-founders Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian in a joint statement. “She’s a champion, an Olympian and a rising star in the UK and beyond… We look forward to providing her the opportunity to continue her rise with an MVP event in the UK in early 2026.”

Challenge from a Seasoned Contender

Her opponent, Camila Panatta (8-2-1, 1 KO), is a skilled Italian southpaw with valuable experience. Notably, she served as a primary sparring partner for undisputed champion Katie Taylor during Taylor’s camps for the Amanda Serrano fights.

“This fight isn’t just a fight for me,” Panatta stated. “It’s the moment where my whole story finds its meaning. This is the opportunity of my life.”

With a victory, Dubois would not only retain her title but also solidify her position as a central figure in MVP’s plans for women’s boxing, with a UK homecoming event already targeted for early 2026.
