An Amateur mixed martial artist since May 2022 and representing Headquarters Fitness and Martial Arts, Mathew Totay is the owner of a 3-0 record consisting of two decisions and one submission. Totay has fought for various organizations in his rise through the ranks as an Amateur MMA fighter including Throne MMA and Ignite Fights. He is 1-0 under the Throne MMA banner. Both of his decision wins have come via the scorecards. Totay’s total Amateur arc has been in the United States in Minnesota and his home state of North Dakota respectively.
In his Amateur MMA debut, he faced McCoy Tekautz and went on to submit him in round three to earn his first submission win as an Amateur in addition to picking up his lone finish inside the Amateur ranks. Totay defeated Aaron Skiptaris via decision at No Mercy 11. Then in his promotional debut under the Throne MMA banner, he defeated Mario Esposito via a split decision. The victory secured Totay the second decision win of his Amateur career and first victory under the Throne MMA banner. He also managed to score his third straight win to start his story overall as an Amateur mixed martial artist in the process.
