OKTAGON continues it’s rapid rise and confirms it’s position as Europe’s number one as in 2025 alone, more than 100,000 fans have attended it’s live events. Since being founded in 2016, OKTAGON has also now attracted a total of 700,000 spectators. This milestone highlights how quickly the organisation has developed into the European leader and in 2026, the number of events will grow even further.

Within just two weeks, OKTAGON broke through two historic barriers. Firstly, on September 13 in Hannover, the promotion reached 100,000 live attendees for the year, and only a week later – on September 20 in Frankfurt – it surpassed a total of 700,000 fans since its establishment. Fittingly, this happened in Frankfurt’s Festhalle, the venue of OKTAGON’s first event in Germany back in 2022 which has now hosted the organisation five times.

We are incredibly proud of how far OKTAGON has come in just nine years. When I think back to our very first event at Královka Hall with around a thousand people, and now I see sold-out stadiums and hundreds of thousands of fans attending our shows – it feels like a dream come true,” says Ondřej Novotný, co-owner of the organization.

Just in the past year, OKTAGON has raised the bar even higher – selling out football stadiums twice (Eden in Prague and Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt) and surpassing the 100,000 live attendee mark within the first nine months of 2025.

We are constantly striving to move forward. The appetite for OKTAGON’s MMA is huge, and our fanbase keeps growing. But our ambitions don’t stop here – Ondřej and I still haven’t fulfilled all of our dreams. The sky is the limit!” adds co-owner, Pavol Neruda.

Over nine years, OKTAGON has transformed from a local promotion into a European phenomenon. It’s very first event, OKTAGON 1, took place on December 10, 2016 in Prague’s small Královka arena with a capacity of just 1,300 fans. Since then, the promotion has undergone tremendous growth and has already attracted nearly three-quarters of a million people to it’s shows.

OKTAGON continues to confirm its position as one of the fastest-growing sports organisations in Europe. The next stop is Bratislava on October 4, where OKTAGON 77 will take place, featuring the semifinals of the €1 million Tipsport Gamechanger tournament and performances from top local stars. It will also be the most high-level card, in terms of global fighter rankings, that OKTAGON has ever staged in Bratislava.
