The UFC has just announced a Batamweight matchup between Frankie Saenz (9-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) and Iuri Alcantara (31-5 MMA, 6-2 UFC). The two will square off on Febuary 22nd at Gigantinho Gymnasium in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil and will be the latest addition to the card headlined by Evans vs. Teixeira, the event is expected to air on FOX Sports 1.
The 34 year old UFC new comer Frankie Saenz made his debut back in August and earned himself a decision win over Nolan Ticman and is currently riding a 5 fight win streak.
Meanwhile, Iuri Alcantara is no stranger under the UFC banner appearing for the 9th time in the cage and has earned himself a 6-2 record. Alcantara was defeated by Urijah Faber back in August of 2013 but he has since got back on track having three consecutive wins, beating Russell Doane, Vaughan Lee and Wilson Reis.
With the addition to the card, UFC Fight Night 61 now includes:
