An exciting Light Heavyweight Bout is all set to happen in Chile on May, 19.
UFC officials have announced the match-up between Shogun Rua (25-10 MMA, 9-8 UFC) and Volkan Oezdamir (15-2 MMA, 3-1 UFC) will go down at the Movistar Arena.
Rua, 36. Will make his return to the UFC Octagon in the first time in a year, Rua last fought Gian Villante at UFC Fight Night: Belfort Vs Gastelum on March 11, 2017, where he won the fight by third-round TKO which secured ‘Shogun’ his third straight victory. This win streak happens to be the longest of Rua’s 10-year UFC career.
Shogun is currently ranked #7 in the official UFC rankings. He was originally scheduled to face Ovince St-Preux at UFC Fight Night 117 last September. However, Rua was later forced to withdraw from this contest due to a knee injury that required surgery.

Maurício ‘Shogun’ Rua is a 36-year-old Brazilian Mixed Martial Artist who holds a professional MMA record of 25-10 with 20 of those wins coming by knockout. Shogun is a black prajied in Muay Thai and also a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Antônio “Nino” Schembri. He is also the former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion where he defeated Lyoto Machida by KO in 3:55 of the first round this took place at UFC 113 on May 8, 2010.
