The UFC‘S trips to the empire state are becoming a stage for the state’s top fighters for a chance to bathe in glory. A professional since August 2012 and representing Hard Knocks 365, Desmond Green owns a 22-8 record in 30 career bouts as a professional comprised of 15 decisions, six knockouts and one submission. Prior to making his debut appearance with the UFC in 2017, Green competed with Titan Fighting Championship and Bellator MMA.
In his MMA debut, he defeated Rob Font via unanimous decision. Green also defeated his next five opponents that included wins over Brandon Fleming and Bruce Boyington. He defeated his next two foes in John Ortolani and Gemiyale Adkins. Then at NEF Fight Night 7, Green defeated Henry Martinez via TKO in the second round. At Bellator 105 Green defeated Angelo Sanchez via TKO in round two. He defeated his next two opponents via decision in Will Martinez and Mike Richman. In his debut appearance with Titan Fighting Championship at Titan FC 31, Green knocked out UFC veteran Miguel Torres in the first round. He also defeated Steven Siler via unanimous decision at Titan FC 32. At Titan FC 34 Green knocked out Vincent Eazelle in round one. He also defeated his next three foes that included victories over James Freeman and David Cubas. Green defeated Martin Brown via split decision at Titan FC 42.
In his debut outing with the UFC at UFC 210, he defeated Josh Emmett via split decision. Green also defeated Gleison Tibau via unanimous decision at UFN 131. In his next appearance with the UFC at UFC on ESPN 2, he defeated The Ultimate Fighter season 9 winner Ross Pearson via TKO in the first round. The win also earned Green the sixth knockout victory of his professional career. At UFC On ESPN Plus 10 on May 18, he will face the debuting Charles Jourdain in a lightweight affair.
