Cage Warriors reaffirm support for Armed Forces with BFBS TV agreement and renewed REORG partnership.
Europe’s leading Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) promotion has announced its commitment to supporting the UK Armed Forces with a new arrangement with BFBS TV, which allows the military serving overseas to watch live MMA. BFBS TV is owned by military charity and broadcaster BFBS.
This week, Cage Warriors also renewed their deal with REORG – who provide a platform for serving personnel and veterans to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as part of their recovery pathway – as their official military charity.
The new agreement with BFBS TV is the first of its kind for Cage Warriors. BFBS TV provides the UK Armed Forces serving overseas with legal and secure access to the best of UK television – including premier sport, big-ticket events, the latest box sets and most recent cinema releases.
To kick off the agreement, the Cage Warriors CW105 event in Colchester will be broadcast on May 31st on BFBS TV.
It’s a fitting event to begin the agreement, given Colchester’s history as an important military town which is home to the 16th Air Assault Brigade. Former Cage Warriors champion and serving Paratrooper Jack Marshman trains regularly in Colchester, and will be meeting fans as part of CW105’s Meet and Greet on the night.
