A prospect’s rise can be slow and steady like an incoming tide when they first sign on the dotted line with Legacy Fighting Alliance. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a swift swimming monster of the deep quickly forging himself into one of Legacy Fighting Alliance’s top sharks in their welterweight division thanks to his blood in the water instinct and keen bladed knack for finishing opponents no matter if it winds up going to the ground or it becomes a stand in the pocket and trade type of firefight. A professional since April 2017 and representing Hard Knocks 365, Tyler Ray owns a 6-1 record in seven professional contests comprised of three submissions, one knockout and two decisions. Ray has spent the bulk of his tenure as a professional with Legacy Fighting Alliance and has also fought for Bellator MMA. He has finished four of his six professional victories.
In his MMA debut at LFA Sioux Falls fight night 1, he faced Sidney Ben Simons and went on to submit him in the first round. Ray also defeated Theron Martin via unanimous decision at LFA 37. Then in his debut appearance with Bellator MMA at Bellator 204, he knocked out Seth Bass in the first round to pick up his first and only knockout win as a professional thus far. Ray tapped out Sam Garrett via arm-triangle choke in the second round at LFA 64. At LFA 71 he defeated Pedro Paulino Vinagre of Brazil via unanimous decision to earn his second decision victory as a professional.
For his next appearance with Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 80, he faced Josh Streacker and went on to tap him out via rear-naked choke in the second round to earn the third submission victory of his professional career. There is certainly danger looming around each and every twisted turn when this Florida shark of steel senses blood!
