BRAVE Combat Federation has assembled several top fighters in the Flyweight division in order to crown its first-ever divisional world champion. The BRAVE CF Flyweight Tournament kicks off this Thursday, September 24th, at BRAVE CF 42, with three of the four quarter-finals promising to shake the entire division around the globe.

Six fighters will be in action at BRAVE CF 42, in a show headlined by former two-time IMMAF world champion Jose ‘’Shorty’’ Torres, who takes on Sean Santella. Also in action in the Kingdom of Bahrain will be Flavio Queiroz, Velimurad Alkhasov, Zach Makovsky, and Abdul Hussein. Marcel Adur and Dustin Ortiz were supposed to fight each other in the last quarter-final, but Brazilian Adur suffered an injury, which has canceled their fight, with a new opponent to be announced.

However, with other big names left out of the tournament and a blooming division with several top youngsters coming through, BRAVE Combat Federation is hoping to empower the Flyweights, giving them a home and promoting some of the most exciting fighters on the planet.

Each fighter tells us a different life story, and the tournament will showcase athletes in different phases of their careers. Zach Makovsky and Sean Santella are the most experienced entrants with more than 60 pro fights between them.

The likes of Jose Torres and Flavio Queiroz are edging closer to their primes, while Abdul Hussein and Velimurad Alkhasov are top prospects in their own right.

The chosen athletes to participate in the tournament also come in with several other accolades. Zach Makovsky is a former MMA champion and the FILA Grappling world champion through his pedigree as a Division-1 wrestler at collegiate level.

Torres is a former two-weight champion in addition to his two IMMAF world titles, while Abdul has also won a gold medal in the same tournament. Flavio is one of the top-2 Flyweights in Brazil (the other being Adur), while Velimurad Alkhasov is a combat sambo world champion, and Sean Santella has also held different titles in the USA.

With the world watching, these men will start their roads towards the biggest prize of their storied careers. The BRAVE CF Flyweight world championship will determine the best 125-pound fighter on the planet and its first-ever holder will be a part of the history books for the fastest-growing MMA organization in the world.
