The MMA scene from up north is no stranger to giving the faithful fireworks they won’t forget. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a falcon of the snow whose thunderous power is lighting up the darkened sky with the crack of a cannon. A professional mixed martial artist since October 2014 and representing Progressive Fighting Academy, Tom O’Connor owns a 9-1 record in 10 professional bouts comprised of four submissions, three knockouts, and two decisions. O’Connor has finished seven of his nine victories in his career thus far as a pro-MMA fighter with two first-round-finishes. He has made it on to the scorecards twice in his time as a professional mixed martial artist so far. O’Connor has fought for numerous promotions in his home nation of Canada including XFFC and King Of The Cage Canada.

O’Connor submitted Randy Mahon via rear-naked choke in the second round at XFFC 6 The Proving Ground. He defeated his next two opponents in Sam King and Dustin Winger. Then at XFFC 9 Conviction, O’Connor defeated Luis Martinez via unanimous decision. He defeated Kerry Lattimer via unanimous decision at FightForce great falls rumble. At KOTC 73, O’Connor tapped out Curtis Demarce in round two via rear-naked choke. He defeated Mahon for the second time via rear-naked choke in the first round at XFFC 16 Festival Of Fists 2 to pick up his fourth submission win as a professional. At XFFC 18 Diablo Fight Series 2 he defeated Chris Day via TKO in the third round.

At XFC 43, O’Connor defeated Jose Caceres in round three. The victory earned O’Connor the third knockout win of his professional career. Standing at 9-1 with seven finishes under his belt, this winter storm will deliver a load of wrath to any opponent who enters the cold without some form of layered protection!
